100% Distinction rate at LAMDA for Heatherton

Heatherton is proudly celebrating the exceptional oracy and confidence shown by our LAMDA pupils. Every Year 3 and Year 5 pupil who took part in the recent examination achieved a distinction!

LAMDA remains a valued part of Heatherton’s busy extra-curricular programme, providing girls with the opportunity to develop confidence, elocution and dramatic skills. With ‘Oracy skills’ recognised as a ‘significant strength’ at Heatherton’s most recent ISI report, we know that nurturing confidence, clarity and articulation allows every young girl to flourish.

During the examination, each pupil performs a short monologue or dialogue, and is assessed on expression, movement and vocal variation. Through this process, pupils refine their speaking techniques, grow comfortable performing on stage, and develop impressive confidence in public communication.
