Berkhamsted success at Rotary Technology Tournament

We are so proud of all our pupils who represented Berkhamsted in the Rotary Technology Tournament this week.
The Rotary Technology Tournament is aimed at inspiring young people to challenge their STEM skills and enrich their learning. Teams are tasked with solving an interactive technology-based problem and are required to design, develop and build a solution with the materials supplied. The tournament is judged by Rotary members and guests with backgrounds in design, technology and engineering.
A huge congratulations to all pupils who participated in the tournament and represented Berkhamsted against eight other schools across three categories. They were marked on teamwork, design and development, and how well their final product performed in the testing rig.
Well done in particularly to our Year 10 girls’ team for winning the intermediate category! The team received a shield for their efforts.
What a way to demonstrate STEM skills during British Science Week and practice teamwork and collaboration. As ever, our pupils continue to Aim High with Integrity in everything they put their minds to.
