The rain certainly didn’t dampen spirits this morning as we welcomed our new Year 7 and Year 9 pupils for their Induction Day at @berkhamstedboys. ☔️

There was plenty of excitement, with some boys admitting they’d been too excited to sleep and had been awake since 5.30am! 😊

Our friendly prefects and staff were ready with umbrellas and a warm welcome before the boys headed into their House rooms. Games of pool and table tennis soon helped everyone settle in, get to know each other and start making new friends. 🏓

A lovely first morning and the beginning of an exciting new chapter at Berkhamsted Boys. 💙

Record-breaking GCSE results at Berkhamsted! 🎉

A huge congratulations to our Year 11 pupils on an outstanding set of GCSE results! 👏

34% of all grades awarded were Grade 9 - the highest grade possible 🌟

56.5% of grades were Grades 9–8 - up 4.5% on last year 🌟

These remarkable results are a fantastic reflection of the dedication, tenacity and ambition our pupils have shown throughout their time at Berkhamsted. We are incredibly proud of every one of you! 💙

At Berkhamsted, academic success is underpinned by far more than just examination preparation. Our commitment to character education for every child, developing the habits, attitudes and confidence to support excellence, benefit pupils both in the classroom and beyond. Through a wealth of leadership opportunities, co-curricular opportunities, sports and community engagement programmes, pupils are encouraged to discover and develop their individual strengths and passions.

A heartfelt thank you also goes to our dedicated teachers and staff whose expertise, encouragement and support have helped our pupils reach this milestone.

We wish all our pupils every success in the next stage of their journey, with many of them going on to study @berkhamstedsixth, based in the new and inspiring Zaha Hadid building.
