🏆The U14s are @englandnetball National School Netball Champions! 🏐
They had a full day of very competitive pool games and a win in extra time in the semi-final, with a final against Putney High, winning 8-3. What a fantastic achievement for this squad.

🧠Last week, Berkhamsted invited James Paterson, AKA the Memory Man, to talk to Year 10 Learning Pathway pupils about memory and revision techniques.
Mr Paterson is a Psychology teacher at @theabbeyschoolreading and has won medals at the UK Memory Championships for his ability to memorise great amounts of information. However Mr Paterson emphasised that being able to memorise so much at once is no superpower, nor the result of a photographic memory, it’s the result of “motivation, imagination, hard work and a sense of humour to make these skills come to life.”
Pupils have been learning the different ways to memorise content in their Learning Pathways sessions, from flashcards to blank page retrieval, and Mr Paterson added some new and highly effective revision techniques to their list! Mr Paterson introduced the Mind Palace, a technique that encourages pupils to envision an imaginary location in their mind where they can store mnemonic images.
A big thanks to Mr Paterson for introducing such imaginative and interesting memorisation techniques that will help Year 10 in their preparation for their GCSE exams.

We are so proud of our national champions in 🏐Netball and 🤸♀️Gymnastics!
Our U19 netball team showed amazing skills and teamwork in the ISNC national final against Woodhouse Grove School and were very worthy winners (52-41).
This is a historic moment for our school as we have never won this prestigious title at U19 level before.
Congratulations to the girls and the coaches for their hard work and dedication.
Our U13 gymnasts also impressed everyone with their flawless performance in the British Schools National Trios Final. They defended their title for the second year in a row.
What a fantastic achievement for all of them!

The school delivers on its motto of ‘Developing Remarkable People’ – students are notably engaging and enjoy taking part in everything the school has to offer.
Oversubscribed at both major entry points (11+ and 13+), with places sought after by bright and talented pupils from far and wide, looking for more breadth than the local grammars can offer, without the hothouse feel of some schools closer to London.
