Travel to school
Including dedicated late coach routes for Senior and Chaperoned routes for our younger pupils
From London Euston by train
From Heathrow by car
Travel to Berkhamsted is easy with dedicated coach routes including late services for senior pupils that are participating in extra-curricular activities after school.
We also offer 2 chaperoned routes for pupils in Year 3 and up on our morning and evening services.
Berkhamsted town is a historic market town with a family environment. Its traditional High Street is bustling with both well-known brands and independent shops. Its great location provides easy links to London (direct trains 30 minutes from Euston) and Heathrow (40 minutes by car) making it easily accessible for both national and international families looking for a day or boarding school. The School is easily accessible using both public or private transport links.
By Coach – Prep
We currently offer 2 chaperoned routes for pupils in Year 3 and up. Our chaperone registers the children onto the bus in the morning and helps to ensure they are seated safely. Upon arrival at Kings Campus the chaperone will walk the children across to the Prep school. After school, the children are collected from the Prep and escorted back to the coach. During each journey parents will be provided with an app on which they can track their child’s progress to school.
Those in Year 5/6 with siblings in our Senior Schools may also take other routes subject to permission from the Prep Head.
By Coach – Senior
For our Senior and Sixth pupils, we offer our own network of coach services across Herts, Beds & Bucks, which stop at many of our local villages and towns making the School commute an easy one for many families. There are late coaches which are aligned with our after school activities to enable all pupils to take part. For more information please contact our Admissions team.
Our secure transport app enables both parents and pupils to manage their coach travel with the booking of services from ad hoc to termly, offering a live tracking service, alerts for parents when pupils get on and off their vehicle.Download an example coach route map
The train station is easy walking distance from all our campuses with the Pre-Prep a longer up-hill walk out of town. You may prefer to take a local taxi for the short journey.Train times
