2015 SPEECH DAYS AND VALE

2015 SPEECH DAYS AND VALE

The annual Speech Days and Vale provided the opportunity to recognise the achievements of pupils across all parts of Berkhamsted School and to reflect on another busy and successful year.

The events also offered the occasion to say farewell to our Principal Mark Steed after his seven years of transformational leadership of the School, as well as other members of staff and our leaving Year 13 group. Berkhamsted Prep welcomed the 2003 Rugby World Cup winning player Kyran Bracken MBE as its guest of honour at this year’s Speech Day & Prizegiving. Kyran shared his insights on his experiences in life with pupils and parents via a letter to his younger self. Former Olympic track and field athlete Kriss Akabusi was the the guest of honour at the Senior Schools Speech Day. The achievements of each and every prizewinner were celebrated by an exuberant Kriss as he presented the awards, and he delivered an energetic, entertaining and inspiring talk on finding it within yourself to cross the finishing line, but also helping others get over the line.
