CAMERON SHORTLISTED FOR MEDIA MAGAZINE PRODUCTION COMPETITION

In what has been yet another exceptional year for the Media Studies department, student Cameron Perry (Year 13) has had his music video, entitled Geekin, shortlisted for the 2015 Media Magazine Production Competition.

With over 150 entries from over 30 schools, Cameron has made it down to the final nine in the Music Videos category which is an amazing achievement. Jenny Graham, Editor of Media Magazine confirmed the news writing, “the standard of work this year was phenomenal, so it’s been a tough call!” Ms Bohitige, Head of Media Studies says, “Cameron has a passion for film-making and has aspirations to be a director so he is motivated to be the best he can be. Cameron has been involved in filming a number of events both inside and outside of school and this has certainly helped him develop both technically and creatively. He has worked exceptionally hard to produce this fantastic piece of work, which is supported by an insightful Director’s Commentary. The department is so proud of him and really hopes that he wins, as he certainly deserves it!” The Awards presentation will take place at the BFI in London on Wednesday 8th July, where the winners will be announced. The School wishes him the best of luck with the competition and with his Film Studies degree at Bristol University.
