Heatherton welcomes back pupils for Michaelmas Term

Heatherton welcomes back pupils for Michaelmas Term

The first week of the Michaelmas term at Heatherton was marked by excitement as the girls reunited with friends and staff, eager to to embrace the academic year ahead.

A significant milestone was celebrated as last year’s Nursery children confidently transitioned into Reception, looking smart in their new uniforms and settling into their new routines with enthusiasm. Equally momentous was the start of Prep for the Year 3 pupils, who embraced the transition with determination, setting the tone for what promises to be a successful year.

In her opening assembly, Headteacher Nicola Nicoll warmly welcomed all pupils and staff back to school. The announcement of the new Form captains and Year 6 House Captains and their Deputy’s was a highlight, inspiring pride and friendly competition among the pupils. These leaders will play a vital role in fostering House spirit and encouraging participation throughout the term, with the ultimate goal of securing the coveted Michaelmas Term House Cup.

Looking ahead, the Michaelmas term promises a full and engaging calendar of events. Alongside the traditional harvest service, Nativities and carol concert, pupils are preparing for a range of sporting activities, with the eagerly anticipated House cross-country competition just around the corner.

As Heatherton embarks on what is set to be an inspiring and rewarding term, we look forward to witnessing the continued growth and achievement of our pupils. Their determination to Aim High remains at the heart of everything we do.
