Entry Requirements

We set entry examinations for all children wishing to enter our Senior Schools to ascertain whether they can reach the academic standards we set. A reference from the pupil’s current school is also required.

Entry Assessment

We will be inviting all registered applicants to a Holistic Assessment Day on Wednesday 1 November 2023 between 09:00 – 16:45. We will be involving more than half our teaching staff on this date and therefore will not be able to organise a reserve date.

The Holistic Assessment Day will be like a day in the life of a Senior School pupil and will include:

• our entrance assessment (an online English, Mathematics, Verbal Reasoning and Non-Verbal Reasoning test)
• an interview
• a practical leadership exercise at our high ropes course
• an academic discussion
• a problem-solving exercise
• a sporting activity
• drama

Every element of the day will be observed and assessed, and we will use the observations and assessments to seek to offer places to pupils who will benefit most from our ambitious, adventurous and busy curriculum.

• Tuesday 14 November– Music Scholarship Assessment
• Thursday 16 November – Drama Scholarship Assessment
• Monday 20 November – Sport Scholarship Assessment
• November/December  – Academic Scholarship Interviews
  • You will be contacted following the entry assessment if your child is being invited to sit the Academic Scholarship
