Berkhamsted Day Nursery welcomes children from 5 months old, providing a warm, nurturing environment where very young children can take their first steps into the wider world with confidence and care.

There is a fantastic, supportive and fun community at BDNL and Pre Prep. Each day at work is completely different which makes it exciting and a dynamic place to work.  The children have access to a beautiful site from the large open plan nursery to the sports hall on site and stunning woodland accessible all year round.  Seeing the children develop on their own learning journeys from five months to when they leave for stepping stones is such a special experience to be part of.

I have worked as a Nursery Practitioner at Berkhamsted Day Nursery since January 2023. On joining, I was unqualified, but I was given the opportunity to study for my ‘Early Years Level 3 Childcare’ qualification, which I have now completed.

I have really enjoyed my time here at the nursery, as all the staff are so friendly and supportive, and they are more like an extended family.

Also, the grounds in which the nursery is set are so beautiful, and it is a joy to come to work each morning.
