We offer 2 chaperoned routes, on our network of coach routes,  for pupils in Year 3 and up on our morning and evening services.

Pupils in Year 5 and Year 6 may join older siblings on the other routes within our network upon gaining permission from the Prep Headteacher.

Berkhamsted town is a historic market town with a family environment. Its traditional High Street is bustling with both well-known brands and independent shops. Its great location provides easy links to London (direct trains 30 minutes from Euston) and Heathrow (40 minutes by car) making it easily accessible for both national and international families looking for a day or boarding school. The School is easily accessible using both public or private transport links.

By coach – Prep

We currently offer 2 chaperoned routes for pupils in Year 3 and up.  Our chaperone registers the children onto the bus in the morning and helps to ensure they are seated safely. Upon arrival at Kings Campus the chaperone will walk the children across to the Prep school.  After school, the children are collected from the Prep and escorted back to the coach.  During each journey parents will be provided with an app on which they can track their child’s progress to school.

Those in Year 5/6 with siblings in our Senior Schools may also take other routes subject to permission from the Prep Headteacher.

The train station is easy walking distance from all our campuses with the Pre-Prep a longer up-hill walk out of town. You may prefer to take a local taxi for the short journey.

Travel options when visiting or commuting to Berkhamsted

Parking in Berkhamsted

There is limited visitor parking at Berkhamsted Day Nursery, Pre-Prep and Prep, however, there is no on-site parking at our Senior Schools.  We recommend using local public car parks, the closest being behind Tesco and Waitrose – both on the High Street.  For more locations please see the map below.
