RADIO 2 DEBUT FOR OB SARAH MUNRO

RADIO 2 DEBUT FOR OB SARAH MUNRO

Singer-songwriter Sarah Munro, who completed her A Levels at Berkhamsted School in 2014, has recently released her debut single, For Eternity, which will be featured on Jamie Cullum’s BBC Radio 2 Jazz Show on Tuesday 5th January between 7-8pm. The single also includes another original composition, Wishing Well.

Sarah’s musical talent was evident to all who watched her perform throughout her years at Berkhamsted. She regularly competed in the School’s annual Talent Show and House Music events, often with her own compositions, and she also featured on vocals with the School’s popular Big Band at various events.

Sarah was named Berkhamsted School’s Senior Young Musician of the Year in March 2013 for the performance of her own voice and guitar composition and she sang a number of her own compositions at a local music festival, Pitch Perfect, at the end of June 2014. Since leaving school, she has concentrated on building her career as a musician, releasing her debut single and working on her first album. Sarah recently performed as a support act for jazz singer and Radio 2 presenter, Clare Teal at the Watford Colosseum.
