Serving Others
Community service plays an important part of life at Berkhamsted Sixth and is central to our School Values.
In the Sixth, students are encouraged to take ownership of this area of the School, choosing causes to support and leading charitable initiatives.
We help our students to make a positive impact both inside and outside our school.
We provide opportunities for weekly volunteering placements, and ad-hoc volunteering opportunities making a positive impact in school and in our local community. In just one year, students in our Sixth Form gave over 800 hours in community service.
We are proud to say that Berkhamsted staff and students raised over £50,000 in just one year for local, national and international charitable causes.
We encourage our students to aim high with integrity, but also to help others. Berkhamsted Sixth provides the stepping stone between senior school and the next step in our students’ lives and we want them to leave school with a strong sense of compassion and moral purpose.
