In brief, you need to record a one-minute video of yourself responding with an answer to the question, What does using your voice mean to you?

You should speak about a topic or theme you feel to be important in our changing world. Be creative and remember the emphasis is for you to demonstrate your oracy skills (your ability to express yourself fluently in speech).

One approach to this assignment would be to consider a topic or theme linked to your chosen A-Levels. The video provides you with the following stimulus questions to help you in deciding how to approach this task: 

• Artificial Arts?: What opportunities and threats does AI pose to the creative industries?
• Speaking out in STEM: Which voices continue to be under-represented in these fields?
• Talk the talk: Can skills in oracy help to win elections?
• Learn the lingo: How can learning languages help to better global understanding?
• Past and present: Who are the most influential voices from the past? And who are the rising voices of today?
