Sunny smiles as Berkhamsted Prep and Pre-Prep return for Michaelmas Term

The start of Michaelmas term was full of eagerness and excitement for our pupils at Berkhamsted Prep and Pre-Prep. Before starting the term, new Stepping Stones pupils and those entering Years 1 and 2 had the opportunity to relax and enjoy a whole school family picnic.

In the spacious Walled Garden, parents, teachers and pupils gathered under the warm September sunshine. With outdoor education and adventure at the heart of the Pre-Prep curriculum, there was no better setting to welcome the newest members of our family.

Returning pupils could be seen bounding up to friends and teachers, eager to ask about their summer holidays, while new pupils and parents were given the chance to visit their classrooms. One parent remarked on being ‘blown away’ by the location and atmosphere of the picnic, describing the pupils as ‘so friendly’. We also had the pleasure of seeing a few familiar faces, with some Berkhamsted alumni returning with children of their own!

Over at Berkhamsted Prep, the school gates were flooded with eager pupils as they returned for their first day back. Pupils were keen to catch up with friends and meet their new teachers, looking forward to the year of learning ahead. One group of Year 4s were buzzing with energy and were particularly excited for their trip to Liddington PGL this year.
