Joe Beadle, a pupil in Year 11 at Berkhamsted Boys, has gained recognition for his musical performance for the National Youth Orchestra of Great Britain in a recent report in The Telegraph.

Joe teamed up with the nation’s finest young musicians to perform at the Royal Albert Hall during the BBC Proms.

Recognised as a key performer of the NYO, Joe was described by Telegraph’s John Allison as the ‘steel-nerved organist’.

2015-16 was a busy year for Joe who is also principal horn and keyboardist of the Hertfordshire Schools’ Symphony Orchestra, with whom he played at the Royal Albert Hall.

He took on the role of Musical Director and conducted the band for the spectacular performance of ‘Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat’ during the summer term, and played for Her Majesty The Queen on several occasions during her visit to Berkhamsted School on Friday 6 May – as the organist accompanying the School’s Chamber Choir during Her Majesty’s visit to St Peter’s Church, as part of a folk duet during the Reception for 120 guests, and he played the piano with cellist Emily Noithip during the private luncheon held in The Queen’s honour.
