Sport also requires memorisation, repetition and learning – all of which benefit our pupils academically.

Specialist Sport Teachers
Berkhamsted’s PE Department consists of specialist teachers who provide expert teaching and coaching, before, during and after school. In addition, we employ a number of external coaches to support our sport programmes.
Impressive numbers of pupils represent the school each week in various sports and all pupils are encouraged to be involved in competitive sport at the appropriate level.

The Cricketer has published its Schools Guide 2022, featuring the top 100 senior, the top 50 prep/junior and the top 20 all-girls schools in a bumper 156-page supplement.

Ambitious go-getters who are always looking for ways to make themselves stand out from the crowd, and want to get the absolute utmost from the education and opportunities available to them.
Strong research skills are evident in many examples of project work, and older pupils, in particular, show excellent ability to assimilate and analyse a wide range of sources.
We are delighted to announce our recent success at the Halsbury Ski English Schools National Indoor Open Ski Championships. Huge congratulations to the Senior Girls team (Sarah, Amelie, Ellie & Charlotte) who were crowned champions in the U19 section.🏆 There was also some individual success in the U19 girls event with Amelie, Charlotte and Sarah finishing 2nd, 4th and 5th respectively whilst Ellie topped off the day superbly, taking the individual U16 title. 🥇 Well done also to our junior teams, most of whom are new to racing, for performing with such confidence and determination. #teamberko @berkhamstedschools @berkhamstedgirls

Today saw a significant moment in @berkhamstedschools sporting history as the first ever Girls 2nd XI cricket team took to the field against Haileybury at Chesham Road.
Berkhamsted came out on top in the T20 fixture, but cricket was definitely the winner in showing how far our programme has grown.

A great afternoon for the U13 team playing in the District Tournament. Some excellent performances and the girls enjoyed their first outing together as a squad! They lost the semi final on golden goal and finished joint third overall. @berkhamstedgirls #teamberko
