Why Berkhamsted?
Why Berkhamsted Prep? 🎭
Because our pupils have the opportunity to shine on a big stage! 🌟
Watch our incredible Year 6 stars in action as they bring Honk!— a heartwarming adaptation of The Ugly Duckling — to life. 🐤
They performed on stage accompanied by a live band at the 470-seat Centenary Theatre, an incredible opportunity that few primary-aged children have the chance to experience!
Drama and music at Berkhamsted Prep isn’t just about being in the spotlight, it builds confidence, develops oracy skills, and inspires our pupils to go beyond their limits. 🔥

Today, our Year 6 pupils shared their original fairy tales with Year 3, inspired by their study of Hans Christian Anderson during our Honk! production. Year 3 were captivated by the stories and gave thoughtful, enthusiastic feedback to their older peers. A lovely moment of storytelling and sharing between year groups!

A great chance for the Year 5 pupils to test out their leadership skills this morning. They created book bingo cards for the Year 3 children to complete in the library. An example of how play can promote learning, fun and leadership.

Year 4 Vikings braved the heat today to learn a huge variety of Viking trades and crafts. Thank you to @historyoffthepage and to our fabulous family volunteers for making the day so enjoyable and informative.

Our Year 5 and 6 children sparkled as they celebrated their year.
Their confidence and joy shone through all their performances. Best of all was watching how they congratulated each other as they were awarded prizes. Our commitment to developing the whole child evident throughout. ❤️
What a fabulous way to end another brilliant year …@berkhamstedprep

Our Moving Up Day was a mix of nervousness but also excitement as the children spent time bonding and getting to know their new class friends and teachers.
