Oracy at Berkhamsted
As you step into Sixth Form, the ability to speak and listen effectively becomes more important than ever. Whether it’s expressing ideas in class debates, delivering presentations, or contributing to group projects, strong communication skills help students stand out. Oracy builds confidence, sharpens thinking, and prepares students for university interviews, job applications, and leadership opportunities. It’s not just about talking well; it’s about thinking clearly, listening actively, and speaking with purpose. In a world where your voice can open doors, oracy is a skill that sets you apart.
Oracy Task
📷Please take a photo doing something you love; this could be travelling, reading, playing a sport, spending time with family, or simply enjoying a walk. The choice is entirely yours!
✅In September, you will be asked to upload this photo to your tutor group’s OneNote. (Instructions will be provided!)
🗣️😊During a tutor session, each pupil will speak for around two minutes about their photo, explaining what they were doing and why it matters to them.
