Consultancy at Berkhamsted

Laura is a Senior Consultant at Berkhamsted, a leading Independent School, having previously held the role of Director of Digital Learning for over ten years. She has a broad range of experience leading on digital learning and innovation, 1:1 devices, digital wellbeing, online safeguarding, and staff training and development.

Laura qualified as a teacher in 2004 and her advice is grounded in real-world experience as a teacher and as a Head of Department. Laura was awarded a Masters in Educational Leadership from University of Buckingham and a Level 7 Apprenticeship in Senior Leadership in 2020.  She was Chair of ISC Digital in 2021-22; the volunteer committee of digital experts supporting the work of the Independent Schools Council, and continues to support the committee and its events. She is a Fellow of the Chartered College of Teaching, a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts and of the Chartered College of Teaching, and a CEOP Ambassador.

Laura was shortlisted for the i25 Innovation Award as one of the top 25 influencers in the independent sector in 2020. She is an accomplished and inspirational speaker and trainer, and has spoken at a range of conferences, BETT events, external training sessions, INSETs, #BrewEds and Teachmeets. She has been a judge for the EdTech50 and the International Edtech Awards. Laura is also involved with WomenEd and The Global Equality Collective’s Women in Edtech network.

Laura has worked as a consultant and trainer for schools, as an advisor on education policy in the UK, and as an expert reviewer on governmental policy at an international level.
