Leap into Summer
Leap into Summer Event
Saturday 15 June | 14:00-17:00
Get Involved!
Our exciting new Leap into Summer event gives families the opportunity to see our Outdoor Education facilities in action. Our High Ropes Course is located at the Haresfoot Campus, on the edge of Berkhamsted. This is where Berkhamsted pupils of all ages are able to get involved in outdoor activities. Research has shown that outdoor activity improves wellbeing and increases self-confidence, and our dedicated Outdoor Ed team are always on hand to help pupils to operate outside their comfort zone.
The Leap Event has something for everyone:
- Pre-Schoolers to adults can take a walk along our Gruffalo Trail
- Climbing Wall – Age 7 and up
- Make S’mores around the campfire – All ages
- Archery – Age 8 and up
- Sunflower planting – All ages
- Mini Sports Challenges – All ages. Events include ‘Beat the Goalie’ and a mini obstacle course
- Leap of Faith – Age 12 and up. Congratulations to our lucky leapers who participate in the free Prize Draw to win their place.
After you have enjoyed your activities, our catering team will be on hand to provide some relaxed food and drink in the beautiful setting of our walled garden, where you will be able to meet with members of the Berkhamsted Schools Group Teaching staff, Leadership team and the Admissions team.
We can’t wait to welcome you to our Haresfoot Outdoor Education site and to show you what Outdoor Ed at Berkhamsted is all about!
