Amber in Year 2 recently competed in her first Irish Dancing (Novice) grade competitions and, having won first, second and two third places for her reel and jigs, has been promoted to Primary Level.  She has been dancing for just over two years with Scoil Rince Ceim Óir and attends class twice a week.  She has competed in over eight competitions and has won an amazing eighteen trophies and nine medals!  While Amber loves the reel and the many jigs she has learned, her favourite dance is the Hop Jig.   She also enjoys dancing as part of a Ceili team and came second with the Under 10 Ceili team (Eight hand Reel) at the Southern Region qualifying competition for the 2013 Irish Dancing World Competition last year.  We wish Amber continued success with her Irish Dancing and who knows River Dance may well be next!
