Berkhamsted rowing double in final at Walton & Weybridge Regatta
| Berkhamsted School Rowing Team set out to the Thames on Saturday 21 May to compete in the Walton and Weybridge Regatta. |
Despite conditions very different to the boat club’s normal training ground of the canal, Lucy Hubbard and Heather Dunmall progressed to the final of the J18 women’s 1000 metre category.
The girls gave their all to the race, gaining a new personal best, testament to their hard work this year. They were narrowly beaten by Kingston Rowing Club in the final, but should be proud of their performance on the day.
The squad is now working towards the regattas coming up in the next few months, where they hope to replicate this success.
