LOCAL STUDENTS INVITED TO HIGHER EDUCATION & CAREERS FAIR
Berkhamsted School will host one of the region’s largest events for local pupils considering their future options when they leave school. The Higher Education, Careers and Gap Year Fair will take place at the School’s Castle Campus (Castle Street, Berkhamsted, HP4 2BB) on Thursday 30 April from 7pm – 9pm, and is open to pupils from other schools in the area.
The aim of the evening is to introduce students in Year 11 and 12 (and their parents) to careers and higher education options and opportunities. Year 13 students would also find this a valuable source of information, particularly if they are planning gap years. Once again the Gap Year section will be hosted by the Independent Schools Careers Organisation (ISCO). Representatives from around 40 universities and colleges as well as from industry, commerce and the professions will be available for general consultation and advice. Universities will include Bath, Birmingham, Bristol, Durham, Exeter, King’s College London, Manchester, Nottingham, Oxford and Warwick, and colleges represented include Amersham and Wycombe College, The Met Film School and Aylesbury College. The professions represented will include Advertising, Architecture, Engineering, Finance, Law, Marketing, Medicine and the Armed Forces.
