NETBALL SUCCESS!
After two intensive days of trials, Miss Danielle Finnigan, Girls’ PE teacher and Head of Netball, has been selected to be part of the ‘long’ squad for the Surrey Storm Netball Team.
This is an outstanding achievement as Surrey Storm are in the Netball Superleague and among the elite of English netball. Having been spotted playing for Whitton Netball Club at regional level, she was asked to trial for the Guildford-based team. Miss Finnigan has since played her first game, successfully featuring in a win over an England Indoor Team. The Storm squad will be cut to 15 players from the current 20 before the full season starts and we hope that Miss Finnigan realises her dream of playing Superleague netball and can become a regular feature for us all to watch on Sky Sports!
