Sweet Strings Success
Three of our budding young
violinists, Amber Razzaq, Ellie Shield and Amber Ford, took part in the Young
String Ensemble Morning at Berkhamsted School over the Easter holidays. This
event is part of the Berkhamsted Schools Group Basecamp initiative, for all
young string players between the ages of 7 and 13. It is run by Fiona Duncan
Wilson and Jane McClelland who are both experienced teachers and professional
performers. The girls had a really great time, finishing with a concert for all
the parents. As one of the parents commented later: “It was terrific to see how much they did in
the few hours they were together and to hear them perform as part of a larger
group”.
