U13 GIRLS ARE INDEPENDENT SCHOOLS NETBALL CHAMPIONS!
To win a national title in one sporting discipline is a fantastic achievement but our Under 13 girls have attained the astonishing feat of winning two national titles, in both Netball and Lacrosse.
The U13 Netball team are today celebrating becoming Independent Schools Netball Champions just a couple of weeks after the U13 Lacrosse team (pictured below) won the National Schools Lacrosse Championships. The U13 Netball team met Stockport Grammar in the final and, in what Director of Girls Sport Jo Lupton describes as “a very impressive and composed display of netball”, beat Stockport 39-22 to emerge as decisive winners. And the rollercoaster ride doesn’t end here as the girls have also made the final of the School Sports Magazine National Finals, which will take place on Wednesday 25 March. Well done to the girls, pictured above with their coaches Tasha Cresswell and Danielle Wates, and good luck for next week!
