Year 5 enjoying their morning with Mexicolore
Year 5 thoroughly enjoyed their morning with Mexicolore, the workshop that aims to show British schoolchildren something of Mexican life.
While immersed in the lives and culture of the Aztecs, everyone had the opportunity to dress up in colourful robes and spectacular headdresses, bellow war chants, attempt some Aztec language, perform traditional rituals (excluding human sacrifice!) and play a wide variety of indigenous musical instruments.
For the finale, they were treated to a game of the world’s oldest known ball sport. All were held spellbound by Ian and Jo’s lively and fascinating presentation. A super experience!
